Bit of a ressurection/thread drift:
A friend has just had a family of 7 foxes move into their back garden.
They're starting to cause a fair bit of damage so they're looking for advice about how to "persuade them to leave"
Any tips appreciated.
Duggie

You need more than a couple, and you need lots of horses. And some public school types in red (scarlet).

Although to be fair it's not going ot be much of a hunt for them if it's only round your garden, unless it is a really really big garden.

I've heard that shotguns discourage them quite well. Noops?

Some interesting suggestions
Shotgun's out of the question - not a good idea in a built up area.
I suppose I could suggest borrowing a dog or two, but I can't help thinking a few cases of beer and a full bladder is worth a shot :damnfunny

Can't be as bad as the stench of my dog after he decides it'd be a fabulous idea to roll in foxes' $hite, and the lumpy texture isn't the best either whilst trying to shampoo the lumpy bits off :blackeye

Buy some fox traps on eBay for £50 each.
Bait with food. Catch fox. Call SSPCA.

It's illegal to release a wild animal once caught so they will have to take it away and 'care' for it! :)
