It never fails to amuse me when people are surprised that a programme, designed to appeal to a broad range of ages, gender and interest, actually appeals to a broad range of ages, gender and interest.

Watched a train/jag/bike race on Dave today and found it really good. They have lost their way.

Caravans was a little slow to get going, but ended up amusing. Dogging gag was well done... According to Porter (script editor) on Twitter, who was doing a live twitter commentary, the majority of the caravan chase was unscripted - the route was, but the caravans falling to bits was genuine and they weren't hacked up and rigged... Porsche bit - awesome (if you like the Singer, go check out Chris Harris' Drive piece on them on YouTube) Lambo bit was fun too.

The Siesto Elemento is laarvlee.

Was pleasantly surprised at the genuine abuse the Tiguan and CX-5 were given!

Steve Tyler was an excellent character, if a sh*t driver :blackeye

All in all - genuinely entertaining :thumbsup

Especially from an XC-90 owner (or previous owner) in Clarkson

Good, entertaining episode, though I still feel the want for something similar but more car geek oriented. Most other shows seem somewhat amateur in their production, maybe except 5th gear, though I don't get Discovery Channel now which doesn't help that matter, plus it keeps trying to be Top Gear !

Only just got round to this.

Crying with laughter at the caravan test! The kids are going to freak when they see it.

Both 911s are enticing. Though I now prefer another angle, courtesy of RPM Technik - 911 CSR (spotted in EVO this month)...

Want.

Anyway, I digress.

That Lambo was nuts and looked crackers on the track, (and off...literally!)

A very worthy episode, IMHO, and looking forward to watching again with the family next time.
Didn't care much for the Steve Tyler slot, actually.

But scariest is the fact that of all the hardware in the show I liked the VW Tiguan the best

Was also impressed by the new Freelancer for 2015 (Auto Express may) but I really must stop now as I may end up buying a caravan

I think I was in that episode !
I was driving back from buying my first elise.
It was totally pissing down, traffic was down to 30mph at some points, then I saw this poor sod on an old motorbike. Being a biker at the time, it made me really appreciate my new purchase even more. I was laughing out loud as I passed the cretin.
Fast forward a good few months - sitting watching top gear, hammond practially wearing a wetsuit for all the good it was doing him, i'm laughing my head off and thinking about the silly sod i'd seen...
Then for about three seconds there is a blue S1 elise coming up behind him !!
Went online to look again, cuts away too quickly, but i'm sure that was my 5 minutes of fame !
(tbh I always thought it would be on something like crimewatch)
:-D

I agree. Went to buy one, but only looks good in the new "R" spec, so stupid money. Move down the models and the spec falls away very quickly. Also, the boot is useless, hence the Golf Estate instead.

Good episode! No complaints from Mr Complainy over here. :D

I thought I spotted a blue exige on the right (behind a white taxi).
Good episode and an excellent soundtrack on that Jag 8)
