The Bar being shut on our return last Friday saved my Saturday at Oulton. No safety net on this one... :cheers

Avoid Ferrys for now Ed - might be a brewery trip happening, and you never know even an excuse to head to the ring for some. (DN havent released their 2014 dates yet)

Golding reckons the chunnel over is the best bet, may Geordie express back?

Also gents - if we get to 25 people, Hethel becomes an SE exclusive trackday!

J just told me we are now over 20! Keep on booking! Scottish Elises takes over Hethel - we could be in for some day then!

Wait till Graeme gets back from his holiday and finds out :damnfunny

Yeah was thinking Chunnel over (cheap day deal) and ferry back to cut out the long slog back. Will hold off for now! :thumbsup

Ferry out won't work unless you take the Saturday night ferry from Harwich so I think Chunnel out is correct.

Ferry back can obviously work if you're in no rush ... I suspect I'll just get an early chunnel crossing and slog my way up through the traffic (assuming car hasn't broken by then ;-)).

Cheers,
Robin

If you go from Zolder->Edinburgh via Ijmuiden-Newcastle it's 559 miles less 303 for the ferry = 206 miles, but you won't arrive into Edinburgh until Thursday lunch. £243 for 2 cars, 2 people sharing a cabin = 121.50 each + 40 quid for a tank of fuel.

If you go from Zolder->Edinburgh via Chunnel it's 674 miles, less 33 for the chunnel = 641 miles, and you could be home for around Wednesday 10pm if you left Zolder at 8am. £91/car + 125 quid for the fuel.

So it's the usual trade off - the ferry is cheaper and more relaxing, but it takes longer and you have to put up with the "entertainment" :-)

Cheers,
Robin
