If you follow the link on the 2nd page to the LOT website, you can book there. You may have to join, it only takes a couple of minutes and costs £30 for the 1st year.tonyg wrote:Guys

The only other thing that is required is to book the travel across the channel. Looks like that will be done nearer the time.
I get European breakdown cover with my bank account but it can be arranged through most of the breakdown services. I have also heard that ADAC in Germany offer good cover. Maybe some of the others can shed some light on this.
Headlight deflectors are usually used in europe and if you are traveling through France I think you are supposed to have High Vis vests for all on board and two of those breathalyser thingamybobs...... and remember to drive on the other side of the road.

Only done Knockhill so far (lots of times), always fancied Spa, so three tracks and a factory tour just too good to turn down!

Good good .. must get a new liver on ice for the return.
Tony and other non-LoT folk, if you're signing up just to come on this trip then probably you won't need to join LoT - Paul usually pretty helpful to SE people (because we're mostly nice to him, other than breaking his legs now and then
).
The only other thing he might care about is how many/what type of track days people new to LoT have done - I suspect Spa classes as a no-novice day, but Hethel is probably OK for novices, so provided you don't crash or cause too much trouble at Hethel he's probably going to be OK with you going to Spa/Zolder. If you do crash at Hethel then I guess you won't be coming anyway!
I've pinged him an email asking all this stuff and will report back what he says.

OK, word from Paul is that it is a no-novices trip, even Hethel is, in his opinion, on the limit of what he would normally take novices on.
So, if you've done other track days, no problem, but if this will be your first set of track days you need to do something else between now and then (I am sure a session at Knockhill will get you by - better still go on an actual LoT day somewhere if you can).
For people who are not LoT members, there is a way of getting free membership, but I am obviously not going to publish that here. Please PM me and I will explain it.

Paul is a legend organizing all this stuff year after year and what appears to motivate him is people having fun and causing no grief to the track day organizers - so, in the words of Sgt Esterhaus, let's be careful out there.

Good tips Robin, LOT days are up there with the best in terms of trackday etiquette but you need to keep your wits about you. There is some seriously quick machines and plenty of talent to boot so the last thing you want to do is bin it (or someone else) on the first lap.
