cheers guys. Lots of good memories from the old days hooning around KH and driving carefully through the Highlands & Islands of course.
Can't seem to find the time these days to have such fun so thinking the Evora is the way forward for a more sedate, but enjoyable Lotus experience :thumbsup

Sensible route, Cammy. If I could bear to part with our S1 we'd have an Evora 2+2 right now I reckon. Great cars, only had one real drive but just like having a "grown up" Elise under your right foot...

Am also planing on getting back in a Lotus in the near future by scratching the Evora itch, will watch this with interest.

Initially wanted an S but am coming round to N/A one as on paper there is not that much difference speed wise. Think the S also has an appetite for tyres.

Seloc techwiki has loads of info and Justins Pistonheads thread is a must read:-) http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... 3&d=0&nmt=

Struggling to find my ideal car used.

Hi Cammy - long time no see (I think I saw you driving a white 5 series touring? a few weeks back) - hope the business is doing well :thumbsup

Can't offer any advice on the Evora other than make sure the kids fit in the back  as they've not got masses of space.

PS did I mention the new owner of the R400 lunched it at Spa? All fixed up and fully caged now :thumbsup

I've had my Evora 18 months now which is a record for me!

Excellent car for any use really, mine is used for a mix of gym runs, weekends away, been on "track" once and gets used regularly for a 50 mile commute to Dunfermline.

Only comments is they are a bit muted standard so sports exhaust, decat a minimum, I've fitted the radium as well and it makes a massive difference in noise.

Overall my biggest complaint is what do you buy to follow it!

Not sure where your based but if you're in and around Glasgow feel free to give me a shout to get a proper look around and go out a spin.

Cheers,
Chris

Cheers for the link, great write up from Justin. Nice car also, but think something in a more subtle colour for me this time. Jeez, I must be getting old

Only two cars I'd ever think to replace it with and both way out of my budget for the moment is the 991 GT3 or R8 V10 plus, I've not driven either so not even sure how much I'd like them but maybe after a few years I'll check them out when they become a bit more affordable.

C63 AMG coupe if it had to be 4 seats.

Ye the R8 on my list too but like you would have to be the v10 which massively increases cost! 360 or older gt3 a potential for me but very different proposition from the Evora in running costs and potential bills!

I don't think the 991 GT3 will drop massively in the next few years.
Having driven one, it's epic.

R8 V10 would be great....just on that advert alone! 8)

Got to love the advert, I'm hoping the GT3 will be around the 70k mark in a few years, if not no big deal, hopefully there will be an even better evora by then.

Ye that advert must have piqued a fair bit of interest...even looked at rs6's with the v10, again just for that noise!

Will this purchase be to compliment your other set of wheels? ....seems like a good paring to me  8)

No the car is getting traded in or ideally sold (13 plate Fiesta ST 2, Spirit Blue with Nav, style pack will be under 10k miles if anyone interested, price will be very good). Evora S Sports Racer ordered. Its going to be a daily driver.

Dom, my financial hardship is actually your fault for posting about the Auto solo. Oh and Chris for being there in his Evora. Was more than happy with the Fezza.
