Nope, sorry! Am looking at some options for spending insane amounts of money on building a mega engine for the 135R, but all just dreams at the moment - I have the money but struggling for time a wee bit at the mo.

Mac - don't despair with the S1 - it's hard to sell them in Scotland and the weather's turning now - it maybe that you won't sell until the spring now, but then again how much more track fun is to be had between now and then anyway. If you're lucky you might punt it to a Lord Of The Rings Dodgems Challenger :-)

Cheers,
Robin

It was your questioning Shug on the VVC stuff that had me wondering ;)

Actually it's me (Gareth changed his mind!).
Have been a serial lurker here and on old SE for some time and am now first time owner (and poster).
Commiserations to the other interested parties and apologies to Steve for the test drive
The price is clearly a good result for Steve but the total package (mods and extras), and the fact that I don't see me selling any time soon, meant it was also a good result for me. Having said that, it was clearly more than I had hoped to get it for and at the top end of what I was prepared to pay. Fortunately the wife is not a member here so no harm done (5.5k plus a few extras if she asks anyone).
Look forward to meeting you at KH or around Edinburgh.
The gaffertape is on order, do I track it now or after I've fixed it?

George

If you're tracking it, leave the gaffer on forever and repair it only when you are forced to sell it ... :-)

Robin

Hi George

Stu's right. Gaffer tape and a KH session sound like the kind of rough love therapy that car needs......

See you on Saturday morning, and congrats on the purchase.

Hi George and Welcome!

yeah in agreement with the gaffer tape, leave it on and just get about enjoying and most importantly learning about the cars characteristics!

Hypothetically speaking of course, i would have left the car as it was, and just had a good time with it!

Dave

George

Sods law dictates that as soon as you repair it, something will happen, and you will be back to square one.

Also it looks as if it is just a fibreglass repair, and not new clamshells, so get to know the car first and gain some experience, especially with track days, then think of sorting it over Winter.
