I liked some of the specials they did. I liked the vietnam one even though they did it on scooters and the one they did in the 4x4's in the jungle.
1999 MX5 1.8 SE - Pikey fun spec
2006 Focus 1.6TDCI - Dull, sensible, commuter spec
2006 Mondeo - Dull, sensible, towing spec
1992 Bay Mare - 1 Horsepower jumping machine

Choosing a whole episode is hard as they usually balls it up by including some gash, but the feature that makes me stop and watch everytime I see it on Dave is the Race to a mile and back between the veyron and the eurofighter. Quite spectacular television.

No episode, but the "Buy an old supercar for less than 10k" was great viewing.

Is it folklore, or is there an episode where the drove a lotus around the track, and lotus weren't happy about the time and sent one of their own drivers to do it quicker (sideways) ?
yeah this did happen. [as I recall] Clarkson drove the S2 and was moaning that it understeered. It was then pointed out by Lotus that Clarkson was just crap at driving and sent along one of their guys. He then drove it convincingly. I think there may also have been some chat re wider front wheels, but I can't remember.

S2's do understeer, and just because the great driving god Kershaw could throw it sideways into oversteer does not change the basic point that the car understeers.
(then to go on about wider wheels/tyres as an option)....

Isn't that deliberate ? It was decided that owners going backwards into fields and ditches hurt sales. (although it didn't seem to harm porsche.)
