Re: This missing plane..
I'm finding this all very confusing.
Why would images of three large pieces of floating debris taken three days ago now be shown to the public. Surely an aircraft or boat would have been sent to check it out first?
Confused......

Tut, Pete, thanks for passing on your thoughts based on your experiences.

Re: This missing plane..
Just reading an article that claims Rolls Royce revived engine data for a further four hours after the aircraft disappeared from radar. If so it could have flown on for a couple of thousand miles.
Re: This missing plane..
There could be a situation whereby a sudden decompression of the aircraft occurred and the oxygen supply to the pilots and passengers failed, which would result in almost instantaneous unconsciousness. In that case the aircraft would continue flying on autopilot on the waypoints entered in until it ran out of fuel, which could be for several hours.
However this is another theory that does not explain loss of radar contact, as does joint suicide pact, hijacking, or any failure of the aircraft other than an explosive breakup. Even that does not fit because the wreckage would have been easily sighted as they knew the position where it went down.
Nobody has an explanation that fits the circumstances.

Read this as well, apparently from a source within Rolls Royce, who apparently have all engine data reporting in every 30 minutes to them......Dave wrote:Just reading an article that claims Rolls Royce revived engine data for a further four hours after the aircraft disappeared from radar. Re: This missing plane..
What height is the radar base level at ?
If they had some sort of major decompression and dived down to not-quite-ground level would it be low enough to fly under radar, or is it something like 100 feet ?
Major decompression and then pilot trys to fly to nearest airport maybe without any instruments too. Aircraft could be anywhere.
As for finding the wreckage now, you would have to factor in tidal drift etc..

Re: This missing plane..
Back to reality in that individual scenarios just do not fit.
Start with the timings, loss of radar and transponder returns, then no MAYDAY report made, followed by no communications at all, then no debris located. Those are the only facts that they have to work on, anything else is supposition which they are trying to tie in with the facts, but nothing fits. Nothing, and all reports are saying that this has never happened before, there has always been one piece of the puzzle in place.

Re: This missing plane..
Tut, have you considered all the options ?
Really ?
Aliens ?
North korea has pinched it to repopulate thier bunkers, and to make a dirty bomb.
Goverment cover up ?
The area has quite a strong military background, so you would assume if a plane that was on radar, went off radar. They would have scrambled jets etc ?

Re: This missing plane..
Those theories are as good as any, beamed up by an Alien spaceship actually fits better than any other, as does a giant vacuum cleaner that has crossed over from a parallel Universe and swept it up.
Plus do not forget the wormholes that scientists trot out when they have no other explanation as to "where did it all begin"

Certain newer engine types do.
