Goodbye Evora. hello.....

Post by chris_c201 » Sun Mar 23, 2014 9:52 am

Well after nearly two years, the Evora goes back to Brandon and Craig next Friday, amazing car and I'll genuinely miss it but fancied a change.

Taking it's place though is something pretty special, a 996 GT3 with Manthey K410 racing conversion and a few GT3 cup goodies. Still got to get a ppi done then pick it up from London so it will be a (long) couple of weeks before I get it.

Wee taster pic here Image

If anyone has a recommendation for a pre purchase inspection, ideally Porsche specialist, in London please let me know.

Cheers,
Chris

Uh-oh - schoolboy error. You do know you should have bought a 'safe' colour such as silver for re-sale ?

Joking aside, looks cracking.

Shoomer, is that a loaded comment? :-)

Know it's seen a fair few track days but the service record is excellent so can't say that bothers me with a GT3..

Will certainly vouch for Peter Morgan as he provided a really comprehensive report before I bought the 964. Enjoy the 996 GT3, prices definitely on the up so nows a good time to purchase

Thanks for input, as for prices rising there has been a marked increase in last few months, maybe a bit of it seasonal but helped me make the decision.

13 days till I get it...not that I'm counting!

Lovely car Chris - Back in the day, when we used to go to the Nurburgring several times a year, one of the other regular 'ringers called Anders had a Mk1 996 GT3 in Speed Yellow...I've wanted one ever since! :)

Nice Chris.
Will we be seeing it tearing around the Autosolo tracks?

Definitely! Unfortunately it will likely prove the car is not the problem, it's just I can't drive :-)
