I would expect more than a text message if they had lost my suitcase - unbelievable
I wonder what the actual text of the message said , probably ended with sad faced smiley no doubt given the lack of sensitity displayed in everything else they have done.

Loved the food though, especially from the roadside and carpark stalls.

PR nightmare for Ferrari that was never going to look good even with sympathetic reporting and we all know how sympathetic the average journo is!

That sounds terrible, but I wonder if the team were told why their rooms were not available. If I turned up to a hotel where I had a reservation to find they had someone else in my room, I'd be angry - if I knew the reasons behind it, I would feel differently.

I realise some peolle are just going to complain that this is in bad taste, and I can't confirm source, so this might just be -
I hate when I get misquoted from the internet - winston churchill. (think about it..)
I have heard that four key members of freescale were on board. That means the sole beneficiary of their revolutionary conductor patent is none other than - jacob rothschild.
Anyone that buys into the most common conspiracys will know that name. A lot worse has been done in the past for a lot less.

Would be elaborate, but any theory can be put forward as it will be a long time, if ever, that they find the cause.
The French aircraft in 2009 took two years to recover the data boxes, and that was no where near as deep and in such inhospitable waters.

I find that conspiracy theory very unlikely. Not least because patent rights are either held personally (in which case their rights would lapse to their estate), are not inheritable (in which case they would simply evaporate) or, most likely if you think about it, are already assigned to their employer and thus their death has no impact at all on the patent.
Cheers,
Robin

Personally i still think it may have just been a tragic series of circumstances.
Possible the batteries caused a catastrophic failure in some way, knocked out certain circuits - coms nav maybe etc.
Pilot headed for safe runway, lost his bearings, headed south looking for original airport, missed that too, or became unable to change direction, through incapacity, or just unable to control plane. carried on in striaght line until fuel ran out.

Apparently there was an interceptor sent up when it flew into someones air space.
Strange why this is only coming out now ?

Pilot is prime suspect now after investigators found he had made no social or work commitments for the future unlike the rest of the crew. They also found he had programmed a home made flight simulator with drills rehearsing a flight far out to the southern Indian Ocean and landing on an island. The files from the computer were deleted, but were recovered by IT experts. The flight simulator programme could have been innocent enough and was just precautionary for work purposes.
We may never find out what happened.
Steve.

If its of interest we supply specialist sonar equipment for this type of search and have now supplied four different sets to different contractor involved in the search.
Just one of them has been contracted to survey an area of 60000km2. Given there are around a dozen search contracts I think its fair to say they aint got a clue.
