In Costco Aberdeen last night and they have Lagavulin 16 year old at £32 odds + VAT (call it £39).
Not my tipple but i'll get some for any locals who have no access to Costco.

Anyone flying anywhere soon?
Keen to get my hands on a bottle of Octomore 6.2:

If anyone sees it I would suggest buying a bottle for yourself and if you can be bothered collect one for me too!

Has anyone ever tried any of the Japanese malts?
I might have a go but they're too expensive to buy and not like.

Recently opened a 1995 Lagavulin Distillers and 2007 25 yr old Talisker - both delicious.
I'm about 1/3 through my first bottle of Ealanta which is also very tasty.

18yr old Glengoyne I picked up at The LEGS breakfast meet there last year.
It's very nice, smokey and full of
flavour.

smee wrote:Hi Kenny, it was part of their annual releases. Every year they make a few cask selections to bottle as single cask releases. There will be a different, similar offering available I'm sure but you might struggle to get the same cask again. Glendronach only use PX or Olorosso casks so make sure you get the right one. Graeme and I both picked up 1990 PX bottles yesterday from the distillery for about £80, a real bargain for a single cask px whisky of that age. Happy hunting!
Picked these two up today

Good choices, where did you get them from?

A wee shop in Dyce, huge selection and prices seemed reasonable too.
The Balvenie was £8 cheaper than I've seen it online and the GlenDronach was a tenner less.
