So, sunny day and out in the R8 when I spotted a S1 Elise at the local garage. All original, red koni's, P Zero's, rubber brake pipes and original toe links. 23k miles last owner 10 years. How could I not
Apologies for the crap picture.

He just phoned me and he is picking it up tomorrow.
Good news is that I have a collection of S1 5 spoke wheels and tyres and driving lights, and he has a set of S2 wheels and tyres plus other bits and pieces and broken driving lights, so we will be doing swapsies.

Very happy for both of you
Unless doing swapsies is a euphemism for something unsavoury

Heh, I saw that passing on Thursday morning.

Sanjoy I was 100% with you on the Azure until I got the deep purple one. I would keep it if I was allowed two

Nice....and rare to be so original.
Are you thinking about taking it on the event next Sunday,or does it need to prove it's reliability first with some local miles?

Probably loose the Koni's, fit new brake hoses and better tyres but nothing else. Clean standard cars are getting very rare and as such their value is in their originality.

Spray the Koni's with ACF 50 and stick them in a sealed bag for when you eventually sell it.
