Went to the pistonheads sundayservice today at MB World. Great morning out, huge number of people interested in the car after my thread on there about the import process.
Some amazing cars on display, the Honda'd S1 exige that was there in White did get me reminiscing. I think the pagoda will be more reliable than mine was though.

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

Cheers all, really enjoying it - it's some event to drive thats for sure, a combo of will-it-break, the fact it feels properly ancient and that everyone smiles / looks / talks to you about it.
Some more photos

I'm mostly with Neil on old stuff, they were improved for a reason..........
However I have always had a love of the really old merc SL's. Love it.
Any other old stuff is just junk.

Very very gorgeous, I think I remember an old episode of top gear or maybe even 5th gear where they recommended pagodas for daily drivers. Well done on importing such a good looking car

Utterly lovely.
Timeless - such a shame designers can't make stuff that delicate or perfectly balanced today, thanks to regulations to cater for the stupid.

Cheers all, it does seem to be a much loved shape.
I bought 4 new whitewalls yesterday as I googled the Goodyear tyres that are on it as they felt a bit spicy in the wet - they went out of production in 1998 so they are probably past their use by date :lol
