Those guys standing in the wheel arches would have been saying goodbye to their legs if that had gone wrong.

Like the stunt involving hitting the sign with the front wheel.

Few months old, but interesting nonetheless!
Re: Random Pictures & Videos
Gonna be Doune soon, so a topical video, some fairly shoddy video of Tillicoultry Quarries dude Wallace Menzies using a life down at Shelsley Walsh hillclimb a couple of weeks ago . . .
Pretty much walked away, mechanical failure at 120mph or so I believe . . . car should be back at Doune . . .
A few years ago on the way back from the alps in the Elise we stopped at SW to spectate for a day of the BHC, walking up the course I mentioned to Nikki that I wouldn't want to end up on the banks at the side of the track as surely the car would just turn into a missile with inevitable results, better to hit a barrier, take the side of the car off and stop, although nothing is guaranteed in these situations that's one of the reasons people perceive Doune as being 'safer' although perhaps more psychologically difficult . . . and the speeds in the big cars are just as high, even my wee toy car peaks at over 100mph 3 times on Doune . . . anyway, as predicted about an hour later an absolutely immaculate classic Lotus GP car lost the back of the car (driver error), ran up the banking, turned into a missile and largely disintegrated, we thought we'd just seen a fatality . . . not as fast as this crash but again the driver basically walked away . . . dangerous place . . .
I should be back racing at Doune, no racing for a while as I smashed my wrist/arm up biking over in the USA and spent an immaculate S1's worth of cash on some titanium parts getting it fixed in Colorado . . . only just got the range of motion back to drive the racing car (I hope)

Went to watch that and it's gone. I raced against him back in the early 90's. Always thought he was a prick. But never really knew him to talk to. Maybe I was just jealous of his talent
