Audi/Honda pax ride

Post by T8 YEA » Sat May 24, 2014 12:44 pm

Reaching out here folks, wondering if anyone with either an Audi or Honda conversion Elise would be interested in taking me out in it?

I have done a fair bit of reading since joining SE and Seloc and it really does seem to be a hot topic, just trying to see what all the fuss is about. Not saying I am about to undertake any mad conversions myself, at least not in the near future anyway.

Would also be good to meet some of the members and put names to faces. I do plan on getting myself down to a few track days this year so this may be the time to do it if people are willing.

Cheers Alyn

Any excuse for a drive tut haha. I am up in Aberdeen at the office every now and then so I am sure we could sort something out.

Nice one cheers tut, not back onshore for a couple of weeks yet so I will give you a shout then.

Highlander - yeah definitely up for putting faces and names together and all the better if they are close. I'm just out in Scone so sure we could sort out a run somewhere.

Hi Alyn
I am in Perth, my Honda Elise is not road legal at the moment, but you are more than welcome to come round for a look. My S1 Exige is on the road if you fancy a PAX in that. Only home at the weekends just now, working in Norway during the week but if you see an Exige on Dunkeld Road I am home so feel free to pop in.

Another here looking for a run in a honda Elise...

As much as I love the VX, it does not excite me enough. Had a go of a supercharged VX the other week at KH, much faster than mine no doubt but still lacking character.

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

Hi Sandy, not going to give up the opportunity for hurl in an S1 Exige anyway. If I remember correctly you would be one of the last houses on the left before the roundabout? Can't be too many laser blue Exige on the Dunkeld road! ha. I am off for 4 weeks from mid June so if you are free I will come and say hello. Would also be good to see your Honda Elise and maybe pick your brains about it.

Cheers Al

If your Elise needs a shakedown, mate, just say the word ;-)

Oh and get well soon!

having driven them all, i have to say that an NA honda is still the best elise. The SC may be faster, but its at the expense of great engine character

I take it there isn't too many Audi Elise owners around then? The focus seems to be mainly on Honda conversions.

Correct. Not sure of the reasons, perhaps the related DNA between Honda and Rover engines played a part...or greater availability of crashed Honda engines!
