SIDC Knockhill, Saturday 6th September 9 - 1
Re: SIDC Knockhill, Saturday 6th September 9 - 1
Fantastic Donald, and It stayed dry. Done a bit of messing about with tyre pressure, and when I eventually got them to the sweet spot, the car was totally bonkers
and predictable in a good way. I ran solid from 18:00 to 19:40 with two 10 min breaks in the session. Covered 90miles, and no bar's left on the fuel gauge to get me to the nearest fuel station. So for SIDC, I will be investing in some metal fuel containers. Think my pads were the only weak spot last night, never once got any fade, but there was a fair bit of noise and wheel wobbling going on near the end of the session, but I did put them through a fair bit. But will now look at upgrading to the CL5s for track work I reckon.
But all in all, I was way Impressed with the car.

What pads did you have in? I've just fitted RC5+ and on the road they are excellent, not tried them on track as yet but others have.keevster wrote:Fantastic Donald, and It stayed dry. I don't actually know what the Standard pads are in the 240S. I had the CL5s on my Elise with the AP 2 pots and I had no issues whatsoever over a 4 hour session.
I am going to be doing a bit of research, and will have a new set for the SIDC day in Sept.

You will get about 90-100 miles on a tank, so about 70-80 laps.istoo wrote:fuel question...

I take it most people take up some Gerry cans and leave them in the paddock / garage ?

I don't, try to time a red flag or take a 20 min break at two hours and go down to Crook of Devon.
