Last week I was out in the Elise on Wednesday - arrived home late, so, to avoid waking Mrs S and the baby by clatterng around with the garage door, I left the car outside overnight. It rained, heavily. Thursday morning, I put the car in the garage - all fine. Saturday morning, I go to get it out, and the alarm buzzes and clicks for about 10 secs before clearing. Noise coming from behind the dashboard on the pax side somewhere. I think it has had some water ingress - or maybe the battery is low. (Battery been in the car for years, but has only been flat once in my ownership - it goes on a smart charger if it's sitting for more than a week or so without use).
Anyways - new battery installed last night. Still have a buzz from the alarm. Check the new battery - it's charge seems low, so overnight on the smart charger; this morning it is full. First few attempts at arming and disarming the alarm it still buzzed (see video - will need the sound up) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ZH62TV ... cAa9b6zCUQ
Tried it a few more times and it seems fine now.
Should I be concerned? Is the alarm & immobiliser about to throw a wobbly? Is it a bad connection somewhere? If it's fine now, should I just ignore it and hope for the best?....
Buzzing alarm...

Dom, your video is private. I have had this when the battery is flat or low on charge.

Thanks, my thoughts too. So now it has a full, new battery - why did it still do it? - albeit a few more times before being fine nowMikie711 wrote: I have had this when the battery is flat or low on charge.

So, should be fixed??? see how it goes I guess.
Re: Buzzing alarm...
Had issues years ago with water getting into the boot alarm switch.

The rechargeable battery in the siren fails and leaks it's acid onto the circuit board causing the siren to fail. If you catch it quickly you may be able to save it. When you refit it with a new battery (rechargeable home phone) change the orientation and have the battery at the bottom.

If you're not living on the edge you're wasting too much space!
Re: Buzzing alarm...
Hmm new battery has not solved it - still buzzing, but not as much....
