Thanks guys, PF was insisting that I attend Court, but Laura has put forward sufficient evidence to show that I can not drive that distance now, poor old man has gone down hill since last April, and public transport is not an option. She is still trying to pin them down as to how they managed to change my guilty plea into one of not guilty.

I will still have my licence though when I get a ban on Tuesday, as they have not asked me to send it in yet. Would be nice to drive to the local Polling Station on Thursday and park the Elise outside with a huge NO on the bonnet. What colour should I do it in, blue?

I think your car would get a little bit vandalised if you tried that.

Good luck Tut! I remember being in your position a few years ago :( but they wanted my licence in advance so it might not be as bad as you think. :thumbsup

Thanks Robbie, with the cock up that they have achieved so far they probably do not realise that they have told me that I do not have to attend.

I wonder what the Solicitors bill will be, no mention of it so far.

That's good! you have to attend to receive a ban. They can't ban you in your absence :lol

I was done at 114mph M25.I knew i was going to loose my licence, just how long was the question? Pleaded guilty and went on holiday for three weeks thinking at least that's three weeks less of a ban, only to return to a letter asking me to appear in person for my sentence  I got a 7 day ban :D

Can they not delay sentencing pending personal appearance though? ( as in your case Robbie) a question for your legal representative Tut, might not be as bad as expected though :thumbsup

As I knew the court date and I pleaded guilty as charged, it was a done deal.they already had my licence and did not tell me a had to appear, so booked a holiday , leaving a few days before court date :D . When I did eventually appear in person. I was disqualified for 7 days and no points added. I was hoping to get the 9 points wiped  I guess that would be to good. Incidentally the guy before me who was doing about 98mph on the same stretch of M25 got a 9 month ban. They must have liked me better :D

Unless they fcuk up again Keith, sentence will be passed on Tuesday as they have accepted that I do not have to appear for medical reasons.
