V6 Headlights

The standard lights on the V6 are next to useless. Has anyone fitted anything better?

Hi Neil,

Craig fitted some new Osram light bulbs to my car and they seem way better, if you want to do a comparison of the original v the Osrams in the dark let me know.

Cheers

If you can fit HID's Neil then go that way.

Keith fitted them on his car, dipped only, and the difference is night and day, bright white light with a razor edge V cut off that lights up both sides of the road. Putting the main beam on barely makes any difference due to it being the standard weak yellowish light. I bought some 100W bulbs but have not got round to fitting yet.

Some extra bright bulbs are higher wattage so be careful (not sure of the quality of modern Lotus wiring!) - sometimes referred to as 'rally' bulbs, I think due to possibly being unapproved for road use. Not sure if any of those philips bulbs fit into this category.

I use Osram Night Breaker Unlimted in my S1, 55/60W, whiter light, much improved over standard and had no issues with them blowing fuses or anything..
