Which pretty much puts an end to overtaking all but the slowest car on that section and will then lead to EVERYONE pulling out on the dual sections. The A9 is a sh*t road but the only saving grace from boredom is the occasional blast past someone.

Going home for christmas is going to be amazing fun :(

Might as well take the Minty 500?

Nope.
They cover the dual carriageway all the way from Perth to Dunblane.
For what reason is a mystery to me.

Unfortunatly not. Apparently these cameras will use rear plates for measurement also, as they specificly state motorbikes can be caught by them.
evil documentation wrote: Every camera can be an entry or an exit camera
All cameras are network nodes, allowing
links between any valid cameras, so
one camera could be part of multiple potential enforcement links.

Forward or rear facing links can be configured
SPECS3 will allow forward or rear facing cameras to be used, but a live link
must use two cameras of the same configuration (rear to rear, or front to
front). Motorcycle offences can be detected.

Any lane entry to any lane exit can be linked
On multiple lane roads, links can be
configured across lanes for vehicles
which enter and leave the control zone using a different lane.

Enforcement links can be from 250m to 20km+
The minimum enforceable baseline will be 250m, but the maximum baseline
is determined by the length of the speed limit. If the speed limit is
unchanged, the baseline could be over 20km.
I wonder what the threshold will be set at, as clearly a 65 average over 500 meters is easier to do than the same speed over 20km.

Big brother is watching!

You won't be able to go anywhere soon without a record of your journey being taken by all these cameras everywhere.

I was going to say lets all vote for Nige and UKIP, he will sort them out, but we are in the wrong Country for that.

They have even less chance than the Lib Dems, and that is saying something, of ending up with many seats, and do they even have 650 Candidates to challenge for every seat?

I lament at any of the UK parties to protect citizens privacy, let alone UKIP who, by the very nature of their organisation, is set against the UK being bound by any EU regulation such as the Court of Justice of the European Union. Take the Data Retention act that was rushed through parliament earlier this year, specificly to circumvent EU regulations on data privacy. We live in a UK thats surveilance network would have made the Stazi sooooo very proud, and I for one would welcome more EU involvment, not less to solve these issues!
