Newbie from Aberdeen looking to get in to a lotus.
Re: Newbie from Aberdeen looking to get in to a lotus.
Callum. I have an S1. I like the S1.
I would recommend getting a cheaper car then upgrading to a higher spec if you need to in a year or so. There is a strong chance you will be happy with a basic car.
You won't loose anything doing this either as early cars are really holding their value or even increasing. Also as the car has very little in it there is very little to go wrong.

If you're not living on the edge you're wasting too much space!

Hi Callum,
Glad you made it over from SELOC.
Stephen has a point regarding the S1, they really do seem to be holding value very well, though with that said, the S2 isn't much different at the moment.
£20k is a fair wad for first time Lotus ownership, giving you more or less the pick of the bunch, with the exception of more modern, and powerful models.

Everyone should start Elise ownership with a standard azure blue S1. All the best people do. Ask Tut!

Bloody right, will always have a soft spot for my S1's, probably not enough time to do the same with my S2.Stephen wrote:Everyone should start Elise ownership with a standard azure blue S1. All the best people do. Ask Tut!

Hi Callum,
Bit of a cross-over from SELOC here but I'm mostly lurking here.Been really tied up with work at the moment which involves a fair bit of daily travelling so couldn't find the time to look for the relevant info for the car I have.
I'm been trying to paste the link to Mikes' build thread but can't get it to work on ipad....can attach to a mail if all else fails but could someone with more computer skills than me please help out(shouldn't be hard to top my computer skill level
)
Thanks
No time today....got an invite to corporate hospitality at the Scotland match....and might be dying tomorrow!!
Not even into football.....only going for the banter(maybe a bit of drinking......and possibly eating)

Re: Newbie from Aberdeen looking to get in to a lotus.
Evening guys, still deliberating over what to get.
I went to view this yesterday
http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/ ... 57/2694258
Really nice but not see if the 140 is enough? The car had a nice buzz, was really clean, felt quick. Only thing is I'm worried that the 140 won't be enough or that I'd be better off with the vvtl-i model?
