Glad that fixed it :D It's all too easy to assume pads are good until they wear out. They can degrade for many reasons - and not always evenly.

The brake tester also weighs the car, not sure how accurate it is but 780kg with an empty tank of fuel. What does a Elise/Exige SC weigh roughly?

Mike
My elise was 749kg with a full tank of fuel and the rear window removed.

Did some googling and don't think those numbers are right for the vx!

definitely not right. standard car is 850kg + supercharger and cooler. Might have a few lighter bits like wheels etc., but not enough to drop it 100kg.

Something not right - should weigh ~900kg - Standard ~875kg + ~25-30kg of Stage SC parts (I've weighed them all individually..)

Elise / Exige S2 SC weighs ~900-930kg

What spec Cl pads were they Mike? - I was thinking of installing some CL5+ (which I really rated on my last car)

The massive sunglasses, tin of boiled sweets and the travel blanket would have weighed it down though.
