What's the suggested route for refurbing the wishbones? Some say powercoat, others say don't as once they chip the water can get in!

I stopped powder coating because of the chipping. It's also quite hard to re-assemble everything without chipping the coating. Last time on AU55 I had them shot blasted, then used smoothrite and finished with a coat of clear lacquer. Would have to ask highlander how that has stood up over the year+ since it was done.

I used 2 or 3 coats of por15. Didn't bother with a top cost as UV isn't an issue on the wishbones.

I re plated and then used por15. £100 for the replating - bargain!
If you're not living on the edge you're wasting too much space!
