Are there any more days at Knockhill before Christmas?

Looking forward to getting the SC VX to KH
totally standard 111S (156bhp) other than pagid pads with passenger best was 64s.. so far. Never timed when i was on my own but felt faster. just wondered if the magic minute was possible in standard trim. will have a vbox for more accurate recording next time. was exploring lines!

Don't think I ever got under 61s with my S2 111S but that was ~2006 and the track has changed significantly (see picture in the SE header!).
Mods only as much as Nitrons and Toyo T1Rs.

I don't think there was much left so I would doubt sub 1 min would be possible in standard trim.

pax makes a big difference, 1-2 secs on that spec of car. 10% on power/weight (depending on pax size!), also the handling and braking impacts...

I think that I got to 60secs with 180hp K series N1, but it took the Honda to get into the 50's, and the S/C Honda to get down to 57.

I often wondered who's car is pictured at the top of the page Ali. Is the photograph from Knockhill and who is sitting alongside you?

Steve.
thanks for the replies chaps, track has changed heaps this year in my eyes! Ali, i hear you, i was thinking very low 60s might be possible in perfect lap situation. The influence of a passenger is huge in the elise, power/weight ratio was about the same as my old M3 but add a passenger and it plum its, i imagine its much worse in the lotus 7 types... i have always tried to get lap times down as far as i can first before i start messing about with the car... on the theory that driver improvements will yield better results than car tweaks. not sure i am getting either ;) but its still hegely enjoyable all the same

i see the knock hill helmets haven't changes since 2006 either!

I always say that too. Standard car is more progressive and you learn faster, drive the door handles off it before modifying.

Steve,
I think that is turning in to Clarks, could be Simin Arnot sitting alongside? Don't know who took it?
