I doubt it if you plan to Honda it. AFAIK you need to make a lot of changes to fit it and the kits have been developed over a few years now by the various people doing them. I don't think any of them will sell you a kit to fit yourself and I've not heard of anyone doing it themselves.

At the risk of being banned from SE  you could also consider a VX Turbo. You can pick up a decent one for 14-15k. That would get you a newer car ('03 or '04) and leave 5k for mods compared with an early S1 plus 10k for an engine swap.

I've got 255lbft from a remap and exhaust mod, and plan a turbo swap and remap over the winter to get 300+lbft.
Red VX220 Turbo - slightly modified :-)

Was that the one that blew up at Spa? IIRC it didnt have a baffled sump, its highly reccommended to fit one if you plan any high G corner circuits as oil starvation is a known problem on the K20's.

It runs fine on a standard CTR but several CTR owners with upgraded suspension and slick tyres have had problems due to this and I would think the problem would be even greater in an Elise.

I reckon if you've got the money to effectively develop your own build then fair enough. Otherwise, I can't see any reason not to go with one of the existing ones such as the Blink/Sinclairs ones that Tut and 4mil have. The support that they've both had appears, from what I know, to have been excellent.

He has now dropped the price from £30K, to offers over £20K, which is a giveaway.

Ali

Just had this e-mail from Tony.

"Hi tut,

Yes its still for sale at the moment, got several viewings on it next week.If your intrested let me know? We will be rebuilding N1 TUT over the winter as a race car which I will race in the new Elise cup series next year.

Will be upgrading the Audi engine to about 360bhp and I have to put a new full body on the car as they won't allow carbon panels in the regs. Also going AP 4 pots all round, nitron 3 ways, full cage, motorsport uprights ete etc.

The car will be awesome when its finished!

Regards
Tony"
