I've recently put winters on the BMW. Ended up going for Conti WinterContact TS850P as they got good write ups. Seem pretty good so far although they've not seen any snow yet

I was struggling to get the 640 out of my yard this morning, looks like winter tyres will be required
Either that or get up earlier and get first dibs on the defender.......................................

Eastern BMW have quite a variety of winter tyres on their website including Contis, Pirelli, Dunlop, Goodyear and Michelin so most of the premium brands.

The current Mrs Boag has broken the Boag Towers tyre purchase record at £1300 for 4 winter tyres for the Cayenne
I wasted two hours online trying to buy tyres at lower prices .......only to find out they didn't exist or would have to come from Germany .
Lead times are somewhat extended at Christmas Time

I've found the German deliveries are just as good if not better than uk deliveries. Odd but true. German efficiency.

If anyone on here decides to buy any winter wheels from eastern - or any parts for that matter - give me a pm as I maybe able to get some staff discount for use.
Cheers

Holy smoke. That's more than our entire Christmas budget. She's a lucky lady, I hope she realises this.

Ordered wheels and tyres from local BMW dealership, only about £150 more expensive than getting aftermarket wheels and no hassle

Solved, and still able to have a long lie.

I've just put continental winter contact TS 830p on one car and Nokian D3 on the other... Last two winters my car had continental winter contact TS 810 and were simply superb. My preference would be continentals all round this year but the Nokians on my tank VW Touareg were a good £200 cheaper.
I bought mine from
http://www.tyreleader.co.uk (excellent prices)
I order my Nokians 4 days ago and arrived today, fitting tomorrow for £50

Wholly Molly... I bought a set of Porche Cayenne alloys for £300 on eBay last week to fit onto my VW Touareg. Then ordered early this week a full set of Nokian D3 winter tyres for £470 from
http://www.tyreleader.co.uk on Monday and they arrived today. Fitting for £50 tomorrow. £820 in total...
Our VW runs 20" alloys but we chose 18" Porche alloys nobody wants then adjusted the tyre size correctly to compensate. This gave a much better selection of available premium tyres at decent prices
