Hotel near Blair Drummond

Post by Scotty C » Mon Dec 22, 2014 2:03 pm

Wonder if anyone could recommend a nice hotel for a couple of night around Blair Drummond.

Just for Lindsay and I to add to her "zoo keeper for the day" xmas present?

Cheers

Surely Lindsay's keeping you for longer than a day Scotty? :)

My folks stayed here a while back, just up the road in Calander, and loved it... Might be worth checking out. :thumbsup

Cromlix house is only 10 miles away, if you want to hang with the Murrays :P

Dunblane / Bridge of Allan could be other options - Stirling at a push (more going on, but the city centre can be a bit rough at night).

Hotel Colessio's meant to be nice - Good enough for Kylie when she played the Hydro :thumbsup

Try Stirling Highland Hotel - pretty decent (quality/price) and has parking.

This is the only course of action available. Anything else will be a let down......

There are many nice shops there for her to go shopping...

If you do go then let me know and I will put in a word for you and maybe get a bacon sandwich delivered for you on arrival :D :D

Bloody right, Travelodge are doing some good deals at the moment at £19, get an Indian takeaway delivered and eat in your room with a couple of bottles of Asti Spumante.

Dunblane Hydro (Now a Double Tree by Hilton) is meant to be okay these days - There's also Airth Castle Spa Resort, which is only 20 mins away from Blair Drummond.

If it's on groupon at that price it probably means they would be rather pleased to offer you that rate without going through groupon.... (meaning you dont need to piss about buying a voucher and they dont need to give half to groupon)...

I can highly recommend Old Churches House in the centre of Dunblane.

Dunblane hydro could be an option if you want more activities.

The Roman Camp hotel in Callender is nice too, but might be a bit on the pricey side.

Come and stay the night with us and we can go out for a curry with Mr & Mrs B ( if they are not on gogglebox) !

Paul we might take you up on that offer the night after the zoo keeper. It was more the night before.

It won't be until spring time until the zoo opens anyway.
