Trial delayed again

Post by tut » Mon Jan 05, 2015 10:28 am

Just received this from Laura. Can not cancel the Hotel room, so they can pay bloody expenses, and compensation for the resulting trauma that I am going through.

Hi David,

I have heard from the Procurator Fiscal about your trial.

One of the officers will be unavailable on the date of your trial - Wed. he will be moving to adjourn your trial to a later date.

I need to discuss this with you today. If you are happy with the case being adjourned, I am sure the court would deal with your case in your absence – ie you would not have to travel to Oban, and your trial would be moved to a later date.

If you are unhappy about the delay, you should come to Oban so I can oppose the motion. I have to say it is likely that the Sheriff would grant the motion on this occasion, so this may be a wasted journey.

I am likely to be in court most of the day today. Hopefully we can grab a chat late afternoon; court tends to finish at 4pm .

Speak soon. Kind regards,

Laura

This has dragged on longer than the OJ Simpson trial. :)

Surely with all this dragging on wasting your time and tax payers money this will get thrown out? Seems like a real PITA start to finish, mistakes left right and centre, if I were the judge Id be looking at the case and not so sure Id want this drawn out into public view.

Standard Scottish Courts ineptitude, if every case was thrown out when it was dragging on the courts would be empty. Many trial cases take a year to be heard

John Wayne'll likely be there for the day and seen/heard it all before........so respectful is the best route I would've thought.........keep all your banter for here.

Forgotten whether it is "My Lord", or "Your Lordship".

Don't worry, will call him God if it helps.

He/she will only THINK they're god,if you can make them believe it then you're onto a winner.

Best of luck Tut, I can't imagine it'll be easy calling an old dude in a dress and wig 'my lord' ;-)
