Evoranomics

Post by campbell » Wed Feb 04, 2015 9:38 pm

Sometimes, the planets align.

Image

2010 model. Persian (Azure) Blue. 18,000 miles. 2 owners. Usual Murray Lotus refinements. Coveted since around October. Feasibility Study in progress since December.

Collect Saturday.

Never, ever thought I'd see the day. Thanks to a number of people for insight, help, encouragement, patience, and sense of humour. Iain Boag, Father G, Robin, Craig, Brandon and of course GPS Gill.

Match the person with their wise words below...

"financial suicide"
"take it on Frolic, I'll pay your trip if it breaks down"
"I've been selling mine for 6 months, why didn't you buy it"
"I want a sofa first"
"market the MINI for 6700, accept 6500"
"yes we can do that...thank you for letting us be of service"

(Robin said his a really long time ago...)

Right, we're all off to live the dream. All 4 of us. Because the kids won't fit in the back for long 8)

Great news Campbell, out of the blue for me but there must have been others in on it.

What happens with UJI, trade in?

The list above was the only true inner sanctum, Tut. Didn't want to say anything until I was sure of the "Evoranomics". Even Brandon doesn't know how late in the day it was almost match abandoned. But I'll tell him at some point ;-)

UJI is not part of the transaction.

Regardless, good to see you take a step that keeps you in the Lotus and S_E fold with a new model after keeping UJI going for so long.

You are going to love it.

I think it's endearing (or worrying!) how much attention the colour is getting.

It's no longer made in that shade, as it happens. Which is nice (cue Graeme? - only one left in Scotland in that colour?!)

Azure (as it used to be called) was on our shortlist when we specced the Elise in 1999. No regrets with New Aluminium, but spent a lot of time in the company of Azure Elises. Lawrence's Europa also looked stunning in blue. So a bit of heritage and sentiment there.
