We used www.housesimple.com from the start. All our viewings came from them, none from A&C and it has only just gone on line with Mcewans at the same time as we had a full offer through HS.

My experience in the past was always that a seller really needed access to the solicitors property centre in the area they were selling in, and the solicitors had really cornered that market. It would always have been my first (maybe only) port of call. Other Estate Agents always seemed to me to be on the periphery of things. In saying that, the guy from McEwan said they dont have a presence on the ASPC which surprised me a bit. I had always thought of web based EAs like Rightmove, S1 Homes and the like as an after thought but I guess things will have moved on.

Anyhow, as it happened I had a nice day in Aberdeen on Tuesday and enjoyed making myself lunch in the wee house so have decided to keep it :)

The good thing about Mcewans is they do not advertise with ASPC which I think is a disadvantage overall, but good for us as we could stay with HouseSimple. ASPC will not allow your Solictor to have your property advertised anywhere else, including on the net.

We are about to put in an offer for Three Acres including the land, went for another look yesterday, and this was a surprise.

Looks a bit easier to heat than TT also ;-)

Cheers,

Indeed you do. Not down here though, sadly! Ginny is up for moving back to Scotland but it wouldn't be easy to do just yet so we've just put an offer in on a hoose near Kimbolton. It has 2 acres of land and a huge eyesore of a garage. Perfect. :D

Sorry I don't read every post. I just thought it was verbal from the new buyer not an official offer.

Tis an offer subject to survey Scotty, he is on holiday for a few more days, but he wants it so much that it should go through OK.

Five kids and another due in June, just what the house needs, so happy that he gets it.

Nice to find someone that will fill it up again ... and also to do it before your kids come home to roost (with their kids, no doubt ...) ;-)

Good selling point was that eight people in the house will also help to heat it up and cut down on fuel bills.

ps:- He will also be buying most of the furniture that we are not able to take with us.
