No. Tell me it ain't so!

My mate had one when they were new, he (yes he) absolutely loved it but he would give me lifts and people would see us in it.

You're in trouble Sanj- I once stopped at a set of lights in Burntisland in the VX with the roof off and had a couple of lads shouting at me trying to guess my sexuality and assuming I cut hair for a living. Feck knows what they'll shout at you if they see you in a CC!

On the subject of Top Gear, the Peugeot bit went on a bit but on the whole I think this series has been the best for years. I even enjoyed the ambulance one
VX220 2.2 - Gone
BMW 335d Touring F31- Fastest car on the road
MINI Cooper 1.5- More fun than the BMW

Have to say, I'm with you. Pug bit was a good, timely (Sanj), 5 minute gag, but a tedious 20 mins of telly. The Ambulance thing was what I usually hate about TG, but this time it was funny slapstick and I did find myself laughing a fair bit through it. That was the difference - the comedy stuff I moan about just is dull and comes across as someones old Da trying to be edgy and comedic - the ambulance thing wasn't, somehow.

Everything has been really well done - even down to the point where they removed the usual heavily overacted bickering about hating the other cars on the special in Australia.

If it maintains this quality for the whole 10 episodes (again, a step better from recent years 6 inc a special) then I will be really happy.

Up yours Porsche, Macca and Fezza. If you won't let em lap em, take your ball and go home.

When are they getting an Evora 400, Mr Robertson?!

Don't hold your breath on that one Campbell. Top Gear did not even have any Lotus cars for the Mall run in London on the best of British episode.

Did Top Gear review the Exige V6 yet, or did I miss that episode?

Graeme needs to have a chat with The Producers. They could invite TG to the Hethel track for some serious PR.

Fleeting glimpse only - you will need eagle eyes and swift pause button action.
Really disappointing that they got so little coverage but at least they were there

?!
Fair does to Porsche they said ok, Mclaren said ok if everyone was using a customer car, Ferrari said ok if they could bring a race prepared car with more power and ultra sticky tyres.

They have had their fair share. Exige an Apache was a all time great. 200 mph Espirit? Was there not an SC one or was that 5th gear?

Shame that each of those wasn't far off 10 years or more ago though...! I guess there was the Esprit in the Falklands episode, nothing recent manufacture year wise though.

The episode wasn't bad, the Pug bit was quite interesting followed by a waste of 15 minutes of my life, though I'm sure I spotted an old Europa in there ;)

I guess it's a sign that they don't expect Peugeot to be making anything worthy of their coverage for a while!

Whilst May was driving the Ferrari around, I said to Erica, I bet Ferrari don't let them do a Stig lap with it. Not the first time as I recall Top Gear previously drafted in Nick Mason's Enzo for a power lap, and were subsequently banned from Ferrari press cars for a while. It's strange (and sad) to see Ferrari move on in terms of technologies, 4WD, hybrids etc, but keeping some of their ridiculous strategies that seem to make little to no sense - tuned press cars, sending full on teams to set the car up for the track in question, or no comparisons their rivals... I can't imagine there are that many people who buy a special Ferrari like La Ferrari on the basis that it's faster than the McLaren / Porsche alternative!

The wrong presenter tested the Ferrari theFerrari, but it's not hard to work out why. I'd venture each manufacturer wanted a positive review. Each got it, The small one with the 918; Jezza the McLaren etc.
