Roof Refurb

Post by smee » Thu Feb 05, 2015 12:20 am

Please can anyone recommend a company to refurbish the roof on my S1? The stitching is coming loose along the front.

Thanks

Usual answer. Start with Craig Moncrieff.

The previous owner of my S1 used Allon White:

From memory I think the receipt says around £250. They've done a great job on it however.

Might be worth a look if Craig can't sort you out.

Cheers.

Edited as I can't spell :S

I just got my roof back from Allon White. It is like a new roof. Absolutely recommend them. It was £295 quid (plus postage both ways probably added another 35 quid) for the full refurb. Anyone wanting to see pics get in touch and i can Whatsapp/text from a phone.

They replaced all the plastic lips big middle one and the two side lips. Replaced the fabric at the front of the hood and then repreplaced the stiching As required. The then cleaned and reproofed it.

Chuffed with it. Decent job and a recommendation. :)

Is there a typo in the price? I had mine fully restitched & a new plastic strip by the factory via MMC 5 years ago for circa £80 all in. A full new roof is only around £400 I thought?

Lotus Factory Trimshop did my bruv in law's several years back. Pristine job. Sadly, Bahar disbanded it as part of his Utopian Dream and I believe they no longer offer refurb services.

Craig sent mine to his local expert (Ramsay?) for a new header rail last year. Excellent job. Not sure of price.
