The body spec is one globally - EU side repeaters are in the wing mirrors. DRL LEDs in the front

I was just looking at mine the other day, thinking "Hm. Repeaters in the mirrors would be nicer. Even the Skoda has those..."

Glad you liked our pics, here's a video of the Press Conference :)

Car looks epic in the flesh. It's amazing what they've done with the interior especially the 50mm lower sills and 92mm extra width, it's a breeze to jump in and out of now. 22kgs off and federalised is nothing short of miraculous too. Can't wait to drive it!

My apols if I inadvertently slagged off a forum member's pics above. For some reason I thought they were by Car Magazine. Doh.

You don't have to apologise if you don't like the pics just because you know where they're from now, your opinion is still valid. That said, everyone else likes them which just goes to show beauty is in the eye of the beholder :)

LOL!

No seriously, it was simply to do with expectations of car mag publications vs commendable efforts by excited show-goers. Lucky sod :-)

We are professional journalists, that's why we were there on press day. :P

Those pics were published within about an hour of the press launch so we didn't have days to process them like the mags would do. The first (and only) video of the whole press conference was also published within a few hours. Most Geneva pics are of a similar standard as time is of the essence as to be fair, as a few people have said on here they're considered better than the ones Lotus have several weeks to work on. Just sayin'... :)

Track is wider and it's not just wheel offset - I believe that custom suspension arms were developed (unlike the show car, that had hub spacers!) Reasonable amount of cost, therefore, in getting them roadworthy to sell.
I know all that, i was commenting on Corranga's post that the blue car looks amazing but the black one is a parts bin special.

EDIT : There's a great thread on TLF about the cars, i'd have one in a heartbeat.
Yes, they are identical.

My parts bin special comment was made solely on the wheels, and wasn't a comment on the GTE in general, which is a lovely looking car.
IMO, a brand new 85 grand car should have absolutely nothing that makes it appear like the manufacturer has simply raided their parts bin.
It seems crazy to me that Lotus have gone to the effort of developing wishbones with a wider track specifically to make this car look better, but didn't stretch to 100 quid to have 2 wheels recoloured..

The motor show photos of the new Evora look so much nicer than the press release shots, I think the lighting helps it along, and can only imagine it looking even better in proper daylight!
