Enjoy your midlife crisis, you two
Must see if I can dig out my Hethel visit and Day 1 Elise ownership posts from the old SE list. You've brought back some great memories, Steve, in the process of creating your own.
Enjoy.
Campbell, I let you off with the first comment, but not letting the second one go. Do I look like I am having a crisis??? Because if I do, well then I cannot wait until it's over and I feel even better than I do just now.campbell wrote:Mid life crisis alert![]()
Totally awesome. Is that a factory pickup?
Stylish.
Thanks Tut, but I had to look up the definition of raconteur though.tut wrote:You are quite a closet raconteur Steve, really good read and your enthusiasm shines through.
Must also be one of the longest posts we have had, would take a lot of putting together.

I was planning coming to meet you all at Asda, drive down and get a few pax laps and enjoy the craic, then have a blast back over Glenshee or the Cairn at first, so I never booked the trackday when released. The car will be getting its first service on Friday and I thought that I might have needed more time to get used to the car, but all seems good on that front. The weather was not looking too great for KH the last time I looked, but will check again nearer the time. No point coming down to stand in the garages when it's pouring down. Hopefully manage the next one though if the weather looks very wet.martins wrote:Nice one Steve.
KH at the weekend????

Tony, I have a bag which I found in my loft, which I had totally forgotten about, but thanks anyway. It was not your Exige that I saw in the showroom, it was Simons Red Coupe that Benny had for a while and it was the Starlight Black Roadster which was in the showroom which was reserved for us at the time. It was your Evora S that was in the showroom when we placed our order though and I liked the mettalic like speckles throughout the paint which glittered with the light. Some Polished Bliss products will bring out the 'pop effect' very nicely.anthonyyule wrote:Steve - are you still looking for a bag to hold the hardtop in? - sorry mate - I completely forgot about it. I still have mine sitting in the loft if you need one.
Fantastic write up - glorious car in the absolute best colour. I guess it was my Exige which you saw at MMC and then my Evora S in yellow that helped you finally make the best colour choice in history?
Great stuff - looking forward to seeing it in the flesh, although it will probably trawl up some old memories for me. Are you going to take it to Speedfest then??
There are a few in Aberdeen now though. Three White(one a Cup), two Laser Blue, One Chrome Orange(another one on its way), one black(Motorsports Black too).Danny T30TUS wrote:Car looks amazing. Well done. Only ever seen a white one of these but the yellow looks brilliant.
Hello Simon, It was your Red one that I really liked, but it was the Laser Blue Elise S which your mate/family bought at around the same time when I was looking to upgrade to the Elise S that was on the radar at the time. It was the black Roadster that was reserved to us later in July which I think is now back up for sale again at MMC.Simon82 wrote:Cracking read Steve! Congrats on the new car. Think I spoke to you at knock hill not long after I got mine...which may have been the one in the showroom you nearly ended ups with, personally I'm glad you decided to wait!![]()
