I had planned to also do the road from Newton Stewart too and to include the story about your little shenanigans involving your loved one and the one you loved a little bit more on that night.

Sounds like a well planned pick up (Campbell levels of organisation !) and trip home but then I guess you had a long time to plan it and distract you from the wait.
Enjoy it, is the boot any bigger for camping trips, you might find you end up being the passenger to get to the campsite sitting on the camping chairs, sleeping bags etc etc ? Mind you worth it to get an Exige and in yellow.
As Jim says there are some good roads in a band right across south of Edinburgh /Glasgow from Borders, Peebles, Dalveen Pass, Douglas across to Galloway Forest worth a drive sometime.
Ian, the boot is a little bit smaller because of the battery position, but it's a good size for a weekend away together and a couple of overnight bags, space for coats and a camera. What else do you really need to fit in!!!
As for camping, I im not really worried about that one little bit. We can always take the barge. F**k the camping, I will be out driving.

Will you be taking it on track?
You bet I will be. French Frolic is something that I am really looking forward too and not just for the tracks. Driving through the Alps on the way back with a couple of friends is going to be brilliant.

Had a great run with Kinger last night over some very quiet roads. 180miles approx. Keith to Dufftown then to Tomintoul was pretty good. I also took my camera with me, but had forgotten to put a memory card in after uploading last weekends pictures on to the PC. Schoolboy error. Lol. Only iPhone this time. It was freezing up at the Lecht but the food stop at Ballater for some chips soon warmed us back up.
Nice feeling when looking in my mirror during me leading and seeing Kingers car following behind looking very menacing. Also when the roles were reversed and you notice that the rear spoiler blends in with the shape of the car too. Nice design touch.
Tomorrow is first service day at MMC and the car is now sitting at 1142miles after a week.
Roll on the spring.

Great run on some great roads, the road from Keith to Dufftown was amazing. Think we'll make sure the next run is in the daylight.
That said, it was good in the dark, a bit more concentration required and probably not traveling quite so quickly.
Afraid I won't make the 12th April run.

Campbell,
I will be at MMC first thing (08:00) and was planning to head in to Edinburgh to pass the time. What time will you be there at, as I can adjust my day to suit? I spoke to Craig earlier and he reckoned mid afternoon before my car would be ready, so I have plenty of time.
