I assume because of his Speed programs he did last year?

I actually thought he came across as someone who had a mild interest in cars pretending to be a massive petrolhead. Wasn't convinced.

Dermot is better than Hammond.

Would actually like to see a gay presenter as two fingers up to the homophobic tripe they instilled in teenagers.
Didnt think he was a uphill gardener, think he is married.

Julian Clary would be funny. :D

Jason Plato? He's no longer on fifth gear since it went to history. Always thought he was pretty entertaining and the driving passion always came through.

Martin gets my vote he's a mountain biker!

Bugger it... All three Plato, Evans and Martin. In fact Martin and Plato would be entertaining in shootouts... Both ferociously competitive!

Totally agree. Wasn't convinced by his attitude.

How about Jimmy Carr?

Heard rumblings that JC, JM, and RH are in early talks with Sky, about a program called "Top Speed"

I see on the news this morning that the DG has received death threats for the crucifixion of JC. I can only assume that it's a bad joke ... surely nobody is *that* bothered?

Cheers,

Sad state of affairs. But it seems some folk do get overly upset at such matters...

Thanks to the wonders of XBMC I was watching some late 80's/ early 90's TG the other day - A real throwback to my youth.

Always liked Chris Goffey's presenting style - Tiffany Dell track bits were amusing too.

JC does stand out though, as the most entertaining presenter (Sorry Woollard fans :P ) - I'm sure we'll see him back on our screens in some form, once the dust has settled.

Wonder if Jason Dawes is standing by his phone, awaiting the TG call
