Hell of a day.......

Post by tut » Sun Jun 14, 2015 10:00 pm

Started of with him telling us that he has changed his mind and is not going to sell the house after all. This when we are in our sixth week of living here.

He will not allow the dogs in the house, I have to go along otherwise I would have killed him by now, so they spend the time in the back of the car or the kennels that he has here. As a result I feed them around 1700 outside the back door and stay with them until they are finished as there are sheep in the field in our boundaries. Tonight I went to get them some water from the kitchen whilst they were eating, all of 30secs, and when I got back Khan was gone.

Raced off to the field but no sign of him and he did not respond to shouting, saw the sheep running away to the bottom of the field, so tried to climb over the barbed wire fence. Got trapped on it but fortunately Verian heard my shouts, but by then was hooked on the barbs and the effort had given me an Angina attack. She got me off but we then heard four shots so she shot off to go down in the car. Our neighbour is the local farmer who rents part of our land, lives about 300m from the bottom of our track, and when she got there he had a 12 bore shotgun and a bandoleer of cartridges around his shoulder. Fortunately he had missed Khan but I then heard two more shots.
Turned out that he was pissed, slipped down the bank and fired off the two barrels, so she left him there, put Khan in the car and drove back. I expected a body, but he was unhurt.

Will see what our local police feel about it in the morning. By now I would have gladly taken a gun to our lodger who had just come back from Church with his bible under his arm, and he said that he hated being forced by his ex wife to sell the house, so he kept changing his mind. Finally convinced him to get on with his life and bugger off to Spain and marry one of his Internet Philippino bitches, the Contracts are all signed now except for him who should have done it on Friday, so he is going down tomorrow to sign, and leaving on Wednesday. Am I full of confidence, am I hell, but I am afraid of what I will do if he screws us around again.

Does this happen to others or is it just me?

ohh I think it's just you Tut, you certainly don't do things the easy way. Hopefully the end is in sight and you will be sorted this week.
I would be a bit concerned about a shotgun wielding farmer if the dogs get out again though :|

First thing we do is to get a fencer in to block that side off.

He is within his rights to protect his sheep, I acknowledge that, but he is not when it comes to waving a shotgun around when he is pissed, and managing to miss his target with six shots from a twelve bore.

When we sold our last house the chap who was supposed to buy it was a con artist. Well I say artist, there wasn't much art, but con ar$ehole isn't a recognized phrase.

On the morning he was supposed to move in our layer called to say the buyer had no money. His lawyer knew and he had not been able to get a loan.

We need the money from him to buy the new house - so now we can't buy the new house but we are subject to our contract penalties, (Bank rate + 5% I think it was on the purchase price). ANd we have a shiny new mortgage to pay for the new house, and the old mortgage.

So we are paying for 2 houses, but only own one. There follows a frantic couple of weeks where we try to raise a bridging loan which we eventually resolved when, as I'm telling a mate the story, he writes me a cheque...

(Inexplicably the con-twatt managed to raise the money and ended up buying the house. One of our neighbour's father had been a victim of the con-twatt which was only resolved when the body building neighbour intervened. So apparently, for the time he lived there, he lived in fear of bumping into the neighbours and was being secretly filmed by Rogue Traders. He was finally evicted for non-payment of his mortgage and then imprisoned for being a con-twatt.)

So it's not just you. Although yours sounds worse..

Surely being in possession of a shotgun whilst under the influence, never mind firing it, is in breach of the responsibilities expected when granted a shotgun license?

Tut, I'm glad nobody got hurt, especially Khan. If he signs today, I'd be asking your lodger if he can kindly move out to a hotel today .......for the your own health, safety and sanity.

I'd also be checking the contract (if there is one) with the farmer the field is sublet too. I'm guessing you are going to have a neighbour issue to sort out.

So were you trying to cross a barbed wire fence in bare feet?

Thanks Kerry, feet were fine, arms legs and ass took the brunt of the damage.

Missives will probably not be finalised until Tuesday or Wednesday morning so the place is still his until the funds are transferred to his Solicitor.

Much happier now, he signed the contract this morning, should be finalised by Wednesday, given him until Friday to drive down the road.
