311?
Re: 311?
I have a couple of mates at Goodwood just now,
I have asked if there is one and to send pictures, the response has been 'NO' so far!

Disappointed from a 'wow, that's awesome' point of view as opposed to being in a position to buy one.Mikie711 wrote:I don't see how, 99% would never buy a 3-11. There is only 6 people on SE had a 2-11 and I doubt sales of 3-11 would be any better. Lotus don't need another small volume car they need something that will fly out the door in descent numbers.hendeg wrote:If it is an Exige 400 then I think there will be a lot of disappointment after all the hype. If it's the 3-11 then I'd hazard a guess that Dom would be right.

Stolen from Seloc...
I spoke with a chap at HQ this morning, it's deffo the 3-11.
British Racing Green
The new 3-11 is based on the Exige rather than the Elise. Hence the front end.
circa
420hp
800kg
Might move a bit then!
...
The chap I spoke to says that it's close to 800kg in weight, no specifics as to what is fitted. I'd agree that it will be without any fluids or options.
He also mentioned that it has set a laptime at the ring of around 7min 20secs???
Sounds pretty rapid!
Could be utter tosh of course. #justsayin

What's the betting there was nothing in the box and being fettled right up to the last minute.
In that reveal pic of the front corner you can just make out the guy bolting on the rear wing...

"Lotus is thrilled to exclusively reveal that our long term partnership with The AA continues. For nearly 50 years, Lotus has been providing the AA with near-guaranteed call outs. Likewise, the AA's Parts & Labour service has resulted in a steady stream of parts demand which Colin Chapman could only have dreamed of.Shug wrote:Just me lolling that Lotus are next to the AA site?
In a one-time never-to-be-repeated offer, visit our stand at Goodwood FoS to receive free AA membership inc Parts & Labour with every 3-11 sold. No purchase necessary. Alternatively, visit The AA stand for free Alcoholics Anonymous membership. Just show your Lotus car keys for discreet membership pack. You'll need it."

Re: 311?
You will be surprised I bet they only need to sell 50 or so to cover costs. I think it will be a whole different body like the 211, it will have loads is aero. I'm excited about this. Not that I've got £70k to spunk on a track day winner. Off to look down the back of the sofa for the £69k. OMikie711 wrote:I don't see how, 99% would never buy a 3-11.
