Hey all
Thought i'd say hello, stumbled across this site last night while at work. Very proud owner of a Gunmetal Grey S2.

Bought it in June and what a machine, awesome doesn't describe it enough, so much fun!
Not had much luck so far though, front clam got keyed in the 2nd week i had it and last night, while I had it the rear undertray off to look at my brakes, noticed the rear clam is cracked in about 4 different places, can only see them when your underneath. Hurrah!!!!

Welcome Kev!
Why do you need the undertray off??? Handbrake cable?

Cheers
Been having a weird sound coming from the rear brakes, sounded like the pads were shot, so jacked it up last night to have a look. Thats when I noticed the cracks. Looks like someones gone into it. Ordered new discs and pads all round from eliseparts today, so hopefully i'll get them fitted later in the week.

Inspection mirror will let you see the inner pads or I use my mobile phone camera. Snap away a few pics and one of them will show how much pad is left.
Let me know if you need a hand with the pads and disks, I've done it a few times. Pretty straight forward but you'll probably need to drill out the disk retaining screws.
What disks/pads did you go for?

Btw rear clam cracks 'can' be caused by stuff rolling around in the boot...

Just went for the turbo grooved discs and the mintex pads, hopefully they'll be better than the standard discs and EBC greenstuff pads fitted at the mo. Sometimes I wonder If I could brake quicker, flintstoning it.
Cheers for the offer Ali, hopefully i'll be ok.
Not to worried about the rear clam at the mo, did hack me off last night when I found it though. Might get it repaired sometime next year.
