Tyres for V6, suggestions?
Re: Tyres for V6, suggestions?
Setting them at something like 28 on the road should be fine. The problem will be when you come off track with them hot at 30 and they cool down to potentially <22 and then you run around on the road like that for the next couple of months.

Not sure about a pump but I am considering taking a small trolley jack.
I've also been discussing other essential - if unusual! - tools and spares with my Tame Race Mechanic.
Don't worry Kenny, I will still keep space for your bag. How big is it, btw?!

Why not take a small cig lighter pump?

Because we won't need to be pumping up any cigarette lighters?

LoT team will have a jack, pump and basic tool kit.
Still maybe worth taking jack/pump if space as LoT ones may be in demand...

Not sure about bag size yet Campbell. Will try to keep it to a minimum, maybe take up half the back seat at most.

May have pax, Kenny, but space still no prob. Don't put yourself under pressure, we'll easily have room for your straighteners.

Re: Tyres for V6, suggestions?
What's the latest thinking on tyres for the V6? Still ZZR's or something else? I'll be needing a new set for Blistervoort so I'd better get something ordered soon.

Re: Tyres for V6, suggestions?
My new ones have had none of the old issues so far. Only a couple of track days but a fair bit of road driving, so I'm liking the ZZRs...
Wish I was doing Blistervoort now:-(

I've just been looking at prices
ZZR's are coming in at 40% more than AD08R's so I think I'll be trying the AD08R's for a change.
