Silverstone
Silverstone
Just saw an old interview of Jim Clark's, his first ever time on track was in an old saloon at Crimond Raceway which is a few miles from Old Deer, and where I was rear ended off track after winning on my first time there.
As for qualifying, drivers have been told that their times will be nulled if they go outside track limits, and there will be penalties during the race, but they still go ahead. What is the point of trying to get a faster line if it is not going to count? Nigel Mansell is Race Steward and completely against exceeding track limits so they have been warned.

Nice wee light hearted compilation here.

I also enjoyed "Slicks o six" with Suzy Perry and Nigel Mansell - 5 Live Sunday evening. Albeit most of the callers were prize dorks apart from the one whose Dad has been to EVERY British GP.

Re: Silverstone
Race was better than average, but the best bit was Hamilton and Moss in the W196/Streamliner Mercs from the 50s - what a glorious noise

Now with half an engine
Re: Silverstone
I was seated right across from hamiltons garage and was probably the only one not cheering him every fecking lap.
Really was a cracking weekend and great race in the end, apart from hamilton winning. Was there in 2011 and the new smaller engined turbos although quieter, were not as bad as i thought they would be. Nice sound off them.
The GP2s were actually ear piercing though and quite painful without protection.
Was great to see drivers on stage and away from the usual TV censorship/ PR machines.

Re: Silverstone
To be fair, from my view i had total respect for team hamilton for winning for that pitstop. Everyone in crowd was crying as from our view it was too early.
