They got up, Ali blew a tub on a deep section rim on the way down.
Many thanks. Better on the way down than up. Lucky it was a hire bike :-)

Hire bikes were top-notch and would cost you 9000 Euro to buy each, (27,000 for the three of us) so we were talking it easy on the way down as we did not want to crash and pay the full price. Brakes are handed on the opposite sides, which made decending a bit tricky at times, but we were still hitting 80km/hr downhill no problem. I even managed a three car overtake in one go and no, they were not parked up. Lol

I presume 9,000 is not the actual hire cost of the bike just the deposit?

No bikes were about 89Euro for one day hire and 9000 to buy new.
