Re: Heated screen?
Some on SELOC have fitted them, but not seen any reviews.
It is actually £50 cheaper than their standard one which seems strange. I will have to change mine before its next MOT on Insurance, so could well be worth trying one.

Looks like the way forward for you. you getting winter boots on her as well? One chap here did for his s3 Elise, believe he has said the difference is remarkable.

I've changed to winter yoko's for the last 2 years, way more sure footed in foul weather

Re: Heated screen?
Yep, I'm planning on getting winters. I live 3 or 4 miles from the nearest road that gets gritted or cleared of snow. I don't think the elise will cope with more than a few inches but winters are great on cold roads - pretty much October-April up here!
Nothing wrong with my current screen but a heated one would be pretty useful I think.

Re: Heated screen?
I have heated windscreens on both our fords - they are great on the frosty mornings, and great for de-misting purposes too. No idea if the after market ones would be as effective, but must be worth a try, especially given that they are cheaper than a standard screen.
Re: Heated screen?
Just bought Toyo s953 winters from camskill, the only tyre I could find in both front and rear sizes.
£280 delivered, not bad I thought. Winters for my RS6 were £280 too...each!
Hard-top ordered last week, the winterisation project is up and running. Now, about that screen...would you trust Autoglass monkeys to do it or is it a Murrays/Craig Moncrieff job?

Re: Heated screen?
Your own description of Autoglass employees probably answers your question. Although to be fair I've no first hand experience.

I had a windscreen replaced by autoglass recently and was not happy. You'll not have to suffer the 4weeks delivery if you are supplying the screen, but will probably have to live with the poor workmanship. They must have used screwdrivers to remove / damage all the trim. Every piece removed was damaged and the top trim (mini) was stuck down with black goo, which lasted 1 mile. I've used autoglass in the past (10years ago) with no problem, so checked online and found endless complaints. Centralisation of the autoglass service seemed to be the biggest issue, no customer service ethic, unique position as the insurers give them most of their work not the customers. I did get a customer satisfaction survey, which I was happy to provide feedback on and through this I requested a call back to discuss problems. Needless to say there has been no call back. So I would use anyone but autoglass first.
I don't suppose it's rocket science but there must be a bit of wiring to be done to provide a power supply and switch for the heated screen.

Re: Heated screen?
I had one on my mondeo ST220, and along with heated seats it was great in winter. Anyone know if there is a weight difference between this and the stock screen?
