WankR made 223bhp and didn't have a dip in the midrange. Also, my vtec came in at 4Krpm
Was yours a JDM engine?

Andy's is UK spec so normally about 200bhp standard.

Mine was uk. All the link up and sinclaires (mine) I saw all made 215-230 depending on dyno.

Regardless of numbers though, that dip in the midrange looks wrong

Pretty sure the HQ Dyno under reads too.

Agree on the dip, looks like cam change point and gets richer there too. Weird?!

Probably a simple explanation though.

Maybe it just misfires more rather than it getting richer ...

210-225 flywheel hp is the norm for the N/A Honda engine, 300hp for the S/C and 345hp for S/C and CC.

The dip looks like the exhaust to me. At a guess it's a 4:1 with the primaries needing some work to match the induction and cams. But I doubt it'll make that much difference to the final power.

I agree with Neil that's fairly low for a Honda install. You'd also expect it to rev a bit harder too.

IAC valve failed at Dony - and there was a proper dip in rpm from 5-6k rpm - which was a pain for road driving, fine on track as it sat between 6500 and 8500. The general though was that there was an issue with the tpm prior to this. It will be interesting to see how it goes when working properly.
HQ Garage offered to have a look at it if I had any issues so will try and get it sorted and then see what its like.

Car was magic fun on track though - took me back to those days of old and McApes old Honda shed. Its almost as quite.........98.8db on the Dony driveby got me a warning. Not intentionally wanting it anything like that noisy, so will see what we can do on that front also!
