Anti Rattle Door Striker kit

Post by The_Rossatron » Sat Nov 12, 2005 6:43 pm

Bought this off ebay the other day, the guy sells quite a few. There was a bit of a discussion on the VX forum regarding them and how good they are. Mine arrived and fitted them today and the doors now shut with a satisfying noise, no rattles at all and perfect shutlines - plus they are nice and shiny and look great.

I'd advise any Elise/Exige/VX owner to invest in a kit. Quite expensive for whats essentially a couple of stainless steel bolts but it sounds like the guy put in a bit of time and money developing it and it's definately the best £20 I've spent on the car.

:) I also had the same solution but it wears, but even thickening them up properly I could not get the door to close nicely and not rattle at the same time. These pins have a thicker end bit - if that makes sense that slots perfectly into the catch.

Seriously the car now feels like BMW, Mercedes and VW got together, spent 15 years developing the doors. Until you open the window and the glass starts rattling away....ah well.
