Keen to get the Evo on and dont want to have to do a hot hatch day
I guess an email / PM to John would answer that.

Afraid not :( I would imagine it would straight forward enough to sell on though.

Hi

I have recently got my Elise and joined the forum. I was recommended to come to a trackday to see what I can get out of the car. I dont think either me nor the car are ready to go on the track yet but I was wondering if its still possible to come along to the day and perhaps one of you kinds gents would take me out as a passenger to give me some idea?

If that is possible, could someone tell me what I need in the way of ticket and equipment?

Thanks!

SIDC days are free to watch and passenger at Ross. Only thing you would need is a helmet which can be hired for free I believe at KH.

Welcome to pax with myself.

(that's why I think Mike will do fine, that and his lack of imagination).

Ah thats excellent, many thanks for the offer - Craig Moncrieff suggested it was good to go to understand the car and that way I would get a lot more from it so figured start by watching with a view to driving in the future - would be good to meet some of you guys anyway!

Thanks for the quick response and I should see you there.

Most on here will be more than happy to take Pax along. The more interesting question will be who you will be happy to get in beside....for a 2nd time.

Be brave.

Hi Ross, welcome along to S_E, we just love enthusiastic new members.
The SIDC Track Day is your best way to meet many of us on here, and to get an idea of what it is like to take your car on track in as safe an environment as you could get.

If you are not planning to take your own car on track then all you have to do is come along around 0800, sign on as a passenger which is for free, have a coffee and a bacon butty, and just chat to people. We go out on track at 0900 for four hours and you will be welcome to jump into any of our cars and go out on track and see what it is all about. If you then decide that you would like to take your own car out there is a good chance that John could fit you in part way through, there is a free instructor available to give you instruction or an experienced driver could sit in with you.

We all started as beginners and had to learn the ropes, got hooked, and never looked back.

Don't be afraid to introduce yourself Ross. SIDC @ KH is pretty much the friendliest track day you'll come across.

always happy to take passengers, not the fastest but welcome to join in.

SIDC usually have free tuition i.e. get an instructor for a few laps , well worth it

Now now, I was told that Tut had gone all sensible (but they could have been lying to me :D )
