So, Kenny, I am confused by your post.... Are you a fan of the SNP?

Sadly I think the SNP will still win in May but I'm quietly confident that the Scottish Conservatives will make gains at the expense of Labour and perhaps a few marginal SNP seats. The ideal situation would be for them to prop up a minority SNP government which has happened before remember. That would certainly be a turn up for the books if the SNP were forced down that road to remain in power.

Easy answer Kenny, just stop reading Facebook, then you'll be none the wiser. :)

Yup, I am delighted, I voted for the good guys and the good guys won, remember? :D
To join you just require a simple X on a ballot paper next to your local Tory. Try it :D

Anyway while it's comical to see the SNP squirm over this they will no doubt slime their way through it. I have a feeling the bubble will burst eventually.

:withstupid

My concern is how much damage they will cause before bubble burstage.

I see some are still wittering on about being oil rich and wealthy Aberdeen yadda yadda ... just goes to show how out of touch they are.

Arrived at the bridge this morning just as it closed, fair enough it was a tad windy, but what annoyed me was it took 20 minutes to open the wee underneath link road to allow us to escape, which meant that I got stuck in traffic at Kincardine.

Perfect illustration of how bad Aberdeen is....my brother whatsapped me last week to say he'd been made redundant from his project manager role for a very large and well established company in Aberdeen.

He contacted his landlady to cancel his rental accommodation.

Since 2014, she has gone from having 60 rooms rented to 6 today

The SNP surely cannot be THAT blinkered?

Yeah - similarly, the outlaws have a flat in Dyce, which they used when Elaine's Dad worked up there during the week. Since retirement, it's been rented out via his old company contacts. They're in the process of selling it now, while there's still a chance it might go.

PM me if anyone's looking for a nice flat in Dyce, BTW :D

Oil in Aberdeen....

I know a fully trained, metallurgist with 20+ years of experience, out of work, applying for a job at Lidl, and he's also applied for a trainee us driver job.

probably says it all.

Paid a deposit on a new 2 bed flat in Bridge of Don, Feb 2014. Expected rental circa £1100 PM. Bought said flat near top of the market in 2015. Have moved in family and still trying to explain to wife why buying the flat was better than a funcy new hoose in the country.....And no I do not work in the oil business and I am not made of money....Flat was supposed to be safer than paying into pension.....did that as well through a salary sacrifice just before the footsie took a nose dive.......safest investment to date.....the Exige S2.....but again that also takes a lot of explaining....and so the thread drift goes on.....
