Seems my battery is dead, forgot to disconnect the battery before putting into storage...
So what's the concensus for a infrequent use battery that's light! Or any SE folk I should be giving the business

Re: Battery
A cheap battery from motor factors is best ... because it's cheap to replace when you forget next time.

Re: Battery
Mine (S1) was more than happy with an 063 Lion (euro car parts own brand) for 3 or 4 years (plus battery conditioner). I switched it for a Bosch S4 I had from another car, though to be honest,
CarParts4less.co.uk do the Lion 063 for 27 quid at the moment with voucher code SAVEME75 (7.5% off)
If you get stuck with their website, stick in Ford Mondeo Year 2000 1.8 Petrol - the battery listed for an Elise isn't an 063.
Also, both the Bosch and the Lion have a handle - essential for saving your knuckles when fitting in an Elise!

Re: Battery
carpartsforless page was freezing, so eurocarparts £23.49 inc delivery!
I was expecting to pay a lot more, so thanks again

Re: Battery
Hope it's easier to change on the s2 than on the s1. Absolute arse of a job

Re: Battery
Should be easier on the S2, the battery is in the boot. On the S1, the battery is buried deep in the front end, great for weight distribution and COG, but not too convenient for access.
Re: Battery
I managed to change mine, once. Hell if I can do it without welding myself to the chassis...
