Was discussing seats with G this morning over breakfast and wee actually thought a school plastic seat would be good way to get a seat that can be screwed down. I half jokingly suggested that G ask the janitor at school if he had any bust chairs. Low and behold he has come home with a plastic moulded seat that the Janitor took apart for him.

top scrounging.

Not been able to look at this fore a few weeks but back on track now.
Front steering assembly built and working lovely. We did require to ream out the BMX hubs to take the 17mm axle and swap out the 4.75mm bearings for 4.0mm not ideal but it still spins lovely!
In debate on back end, have salvaged BMW front forks with cantilever brakes which I can drill two holes perpendicular to bolt to the chassis then makes the steering wheel assessment on how to link the cable actuated brakes. I have a spare set of MTB discs and disc hub, thinking of making a rear axle with an old MTB hub on it and just having a single disc brake on the back... cheaper than lacing up new wheels!
Seats, good idea ferg! I just have an inclined piece of ply on an old seat runner...

I think the more ideas shared the better the end result.
Its going to be brilliant to see how everyone has interpreted the challenge.

How are you getting on chaps?
Few delays due to busy work schedule but parts collection getting there and design maturity too.
Still have a few challenges listed under 'we'll worry about that later'.
Potentially looking and making our own rack for a bit of fun.
