Gutted, Always knew it was going to be close but thought the majority of the nation would have chosen remain.
Agree that its a pity that Cameron is resigning as also think he has done a good job and unfortunately will not be remembered for any good policies/work that he has done.
Just can't see 'Boris' being able to negotiate a good deal out of Europe.

OK, just to pick you up on this point, list what you think his 'good' bits of his record are?

Yeah economy's in recession and he just lost a referendum that very few of the elected politicians wanted and his party has split in two.
No illegal wars I suppose.

He's done a decent job as a polititian (of course, we can all pick holes) considering he's not exactly had the smoothest of rides with the aftermath of the financial crisis, deep recession, coalition government issues, interventionist decisions on Libya and Syria, benefit reforms, equal rights, 2015 GE (got a majority), Scottish Indy ref and EU ref.. Oh wait he f*cked that one up
Who do you think would have handled these things much better?

Plus I'm neither of those listed above (or most people I know), but think this is a crappy, fear of the immigrant induced, backwards decision...

Im obviously quite a mixed up individual. So much I agree with on both sides.
Has anyone mentioned the divide in Scotland? The cities (at least south of Stirling Bridge), just like London, are so strong for remian but thats certainly the same in the north.
Really concerned about Sturgeon now...

From that perspective, the poor performance of the Scottish economy and massive budget deficient will prevent Indy Ref2 (IMO), in the short term at least..
Also, the nationalists are somewhat split on the Brexit issue - they don't have the singular voice on this issue which has propelled the SNP to where they currently are.

I hope thats the case.
Also I should have said, NOT the same up north as I think Aberdeen was 45%? Edinburgh was far less

Thinking about it, another Scottish Referendum is not a foregone conclusion in the short term.
Firstly the oil price is way below what it was last time, and secondly they would have to adopt the Euro if they were allowed back in as a Member of the EU where all 27 Countries have to say yes.

It sounds like other countries may also want to leave the EU in which case Scotland wouldn't have a need to want to join it. I think used Elise values will go up quite a lot with high demand in Europe.

Tut, you seem to be making the mistake of including some sort of logic in thoughts about Scottish Independence.
Racism has played as much a part in this referendum as it did in the Scottish one in 2014. Without the racist vote, the result would have been the other way - the result was close enough to make that clear especially when combined with the rise of Farage and the rest of UKIP.
Are the SNP any better? I guess it's a different kind of evil.
